Cold orris and a bruised trace of rose move through ritual smoke, shadowed woods, and warm skin, shifting slowly from spectral sorrow into something rawer — love sharpened into fury, devotion twisted by loss. Lamentation is beautiful without being delicate: pale, smoky, intimate, and a little feral, with the dry, rough impression of sackcloth beneath it all. Wilted roses. Sackcloth at the altar. Ash left behind after the prayer burns out.
